Culture is all of us, coming together.

Schools are nexus points for communities. Schools are in crisis. RCS supports students by creating an action group that is built on trust and empowered to find solutions.

Resilient Community Schools (RCS) is an adaptable student-centered engagement framework designed specifically for the needs of middle and high school communities.

RCS provides school districts, serving students 5th-12th grades, with a clear and actionable roadmap to develop and nurture a cohesive school culture by embedding developmentally appropriate best practices to reduce trauma, its effects on behaviors and learning, and to increase buffers against trauma. This is done by centering the voices of students, teachers, and parents.

RCS includes consultation, webinars, trainings, and curriculum that helps with:

  • how to create a trauma informed environment for all

  • how self-identity connects to the health of education

  • co-creating culture within the classroom, school, and community

  • tools for caregivers

  • tools for caregiver outreach and engagement fueled by cultural practices and unique assets from/of/with your community

  • adaptable programming that builds sustainable staff and student wellness

  • transformational policy recommendations

  • ongoing implementation of RCS
